Installing a New Emote Pack

e107 is compatible with phpBB type emote paks, and Kopete .xml type emote packs.

To install these,

simple copy the unzipped emote folder into your e107_images/emotes folder
then go to Admin Area > Settings > Emoticons
- you'll see the new emote pack listed.
Simple click Activate to set the new pack as the active emote pack.

To Activate In Comments

To display Emotes in the Comments area:

Go to Admin Area > Preferences > Comments/Posting > Show Emoticon Images on Comment Form?
Set to: ON

Adding an emote image to an existing pack

Copy the image into the relevant pack folder, then click on edit/configure this pack, you'll see the new image listed - just add the emote code you wish to attach to the new image and click 'Save Configuration'.
